...based in the very friendly and welcoming French alpine village of Thollon overlooking Lac Leman (aka Lake Geneva), located half way down the east side of France on the borders of Switzerland and Italy, approx. 60 minutes from Geneva airport, 10 minutes from Evian.
There's all the activities here and nearby you'd expect to find in a location boasting mountains and the largest lake in Europe! It's ideal for everyone and offers an excellent base for good quality, interesting local excursions as well.
You can take it easy and do your own thing or consult the local professionals who will take care of your needs for those extreme sports activities. Whatever you choose to do each day, the equipment you need can be hired or bought locally and there's experienced professionals available to teach, advise and guide you.
Then there's the lake. It's great! Thollon is known as the 'balcony of Lac Leman'. The views from the village over the lake are fantastic! For that matter so are the views of the Memises, the mountains overlooking Thollon, where you'll find just some of the local mountain activities. There's so much to do in and around the lake as well. Last summer the lake was a warm 22C/72F, lovely! Stop somewhere along the lake road and jump in!
Great quality food at good value...the traditional Haute Savoie cuisine of Thollon is delicious (totally unbiased!) and is great for filling that gap after a hard days enjoyment. You can get a drink at one of the bars from around 11am to 1am(ish) in the morning. Great for those balmy evenings. If you prefer to go DIY for a change, you have two well stocked local supermarkets and a very nice boulangerie for those delicious French breads and cakes!
