TERMS AND CONDITIONS for self catered letting of Chalet Serenite, 74500 Thollon Les Memises, France: EXCLUSIVE USE OF TOP TWO FLOORS OF CHALET SERENITE AND SKI ROOM (hereafter referred to as "the Chalet").
1.
LENGTH OF STAY: The rental period commences at 16:00hrs on the first day of the
rental period and ends at 10:00hrs on the last day of the rental period.
2. BOOKING: Once availability is
confirmed by us, the client must sign and return our Terms and Conditions form
together with a non-refundable deposit to confirm the booking. The deposit is
25% of the rental charge. Payment can be made by: Credit Card (payable at the
Chalet); French bank Euro cheque; PayPal; Bank Transfer. A 3.75% charge will be
added to PayPal payments. Booking is confirmed on receipt of the signed Terms
and Conditions and the deposit. An invoice will be sent to you which represents
the formal acceptance of your booking.

FINAL PAYMENT: The balance of the final rental charge becomes payable not
less than 8 weeks prior to the start of the rental period. A security
deposit of 500euros will be requested via PayPal, and must be received by us, no
less than 8 weeks prior to the start of the rental period. This will be
returned to you once the property has been checked that all is in order, after
your departure. If either payment is not received by the due date, the
owner reserves the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is
cancelled.
4.
CANCELLATION BY YOU: If you have to cancel your reservation, please let the
owner know immediately. If the cancellation is less than eight weeks prior to
the beginning of the rental period, and we fail to re-let the chalet, your
total payment will be forfeited. If you arrive after the beginning of the
rental period or leave before the end of the rental period, no refund will be
given. Ensure your travel insurance covers cancellation and holiday
curtailment. Your security deposit will be refunded immediately.
5.
CONSIDERATION TO OTHERS: The client(s) agree to be considerate and take good
care of the chalet and its property and not to act in any way that will cause
disturbance to those residents in neighbouring properties and the residence of
the owners. Smoking is not permitted inside the chalet or on bedroom balconies.
Smoking is permitted outside the chalet and on the balcony next to the main
lounge. NO PARTIES ALLOWED. The owners reserve the right to cancel the booking
immediately, without refund, for any member(s) of the group not heeding to
these conditions.
6.
RIGHT OF ABODE: The owners reserve the right to refuse entry to the chalet and its
property to anyone not included in the original renting party/group. The person
responsible for the booking must provide their current passport for copy, on
arrival. The owners reserve the right to enter the property as and when
necessary.
7.
BREAKAGE AND LIABILITY: You are responsible for leaving the property in a
clean and tidy condition. The property will be checked when you vacate and if
any excessive cleaning is required or damage has occurred to the property and
equipment, a suitable sum will be deducted from the breakage deposit. You
may opt to have the chalet cleaned by us after you leave, for a set fee of
80euros (payable before arrival).
8.
INSURANCE: The owners insurance does not cover the clients personal
belongings, public liability etc. The client is responsible for ensuring the
chalet is secured by the existing means. The client is strongly recommended to
take out appropriate insurance. Under of no circumstances shall the owners
liability to the client exceed the amount paid for the rental period.
9.
UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONTRACT:
Bookings are offered on the sole understanding that these conditions of hire,
liability and general information have been read and agreed by all members of
the letting group/party. You must sign and return the Terms and Conditions with
your non-refundable deposit. NB: You are advised to take out a Travel
Insurance Policy with a cancellation clause, which may enable you to recover
non-refundable monies.
I have read your terms and conditions and accept them on behalf of
all my party who will reside in/on the property, on whose behalf I am duly
authorised to make this agreement. I am over 18 years of age.
